About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Cyber Security Specialist to support our systems, networks, and data security on a part-time basis. In this role, you will monitor security risks, respond to incidents, and help implement best practices to maintain a strong security posture across the organization during assigned working hours.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor systems and networks for security threats and suspicious activities.
Investigate and respond to security incidents as required.
Assist in implementing and maintaining security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and EDR solutions.
Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and procedures.
Conduct periodic security checks and risk assessments.
Support security awareness initiatives and best practices.
Stay informed about the latest cyber threats and security trends.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and cyber security principles.
Hands-on experience with security tools and monitoring systems.
Knowledge of common attack vectors such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and DDoS attacks.
Experience in incident response and threat analysis.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Information
Type: Freelance / Part-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM (2 hours per day)
