Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Drafters to join our team. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using industry-standard CAD software. The incumbent will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to translate concepts and specifications into precise technical documentation, ensuring all drawings meet project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
Interpret engineering sketches, verbal descriptions, and specifications and translate them into precise technical drawings
Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical, civil, or architectural projects as required
Review and revise drawings to incorporate design changes, corrections, and updates
Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and company drafting conventions
Coordinate with engineers and project leads to clarify design requirements and resolve technical discrepancies
Maintain organized drawing files and version control in document management systems
Generate bills of materials (BOM), parts lists, and assembly documentation
Provide accurate and timely drawings to support production or construction teams
Participate in design reviews and contribute input on drafting best practices
Qualifications & Requirements
Associate's degree or diploma in CAD Technology, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional CAD drafting experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, MicroStation)
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Solid knowledge of drafting standards (ANSI, ISO, ASME)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
